While this classification has been removed, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (Guide), the Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research and Teaching (Ag Guide), and the European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals Used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes (ETS123) remain critical resources in the AAALAC International accreditation process. These documents have been reclassified as Reference Resources; their importance and role in accreditation have not changed.
