Apply to become an AAALAC ad hoc Consultant
AAALAC maintains a pool of 300+ ad hoc Consultants and Specialists who assist members of the Council on Accreditation in evaluating animal care and use programs. To become an ad hoc Consultant/Specialist, you must submit an application, for review by the Council, using one of the formats below. Applications are due February 1 of each calendar year for consideration at the May business meeting of the Council on Accreditation. Letters providing notification of selection/non-selection of applicants are generally mailed within two weeks following the Council meeting. Typically, more applications are received than there are available ad hoc Consultant/Specialist positions. Therefore, the selection process is competitive. Questions regarding the role of ad hocs or the selection process may be directed to Dr. Bayne at kbayne@aaalac.org.
